The Ox Roast is Grandview Heights’ signature event
and it happens because neighbors show up to make it happen.

Every September, our community gathers at Pierce Field for a weekend that has been a Grandview Heights tradition for generations. Putting it on takes a lot of hands, and there’s a place in it for you.

Whether you can give two hours or an afternoon, your help keeps the tradition strong and directly supports the students of Grandview Heights. It’s a good cause, it’s genuinely fun, and you’ll meet some great people doing it.

Where we could use a hand

• Kitchen & food — prep, cook the corn, slice the beef, and fill orders

• Order-takers and the Drinks, Pies & Cakes table

• The famous Bingo tent

• The student-led Games tent — adults to supervise and restock

• Beer, seltzer & wine — ticket sales and pouring (21+)

• Ox prep and overnight fire-watch at the pit

• Trash & recycling — keep the grounds looking great

• Photographer — capture the fun for our website and socials

• Bake something! Single-serve baked-goods donations are always welcome

Shifts run Thursday through Saturday, September 10–12 — pick the times that fit your schedule, and sign up for as much or as little as you like.
