Seventy years. The Bobcat Boosters have hosted the Grandview Heights
Ox Roast since 1956. The Boosters are an all-volunteer public charity, and every dollar raised

Wednesday, September 9
Pep Rally & Ceremonial Pit Lighting9:00 – 10:30 PM

| 9:00 PM | Gather at Pierce Field
Gather near the pit — the call goes out that the ceremony is about to begin. |
| 9:15 PM | The Marching Band Comes Down Hilo
The GHHS Marching Band and cheerleaders march down Hilo Lane to the pit. Everyone follows. Worth being there for. |
| 9:30 PM | Pep Rally
Emcee Jon Ionno, the marching band under Logan Pelphry, the cheerleaders led by Coach Andrea Hunter, the Bobcat mascot, and Head Football Coach Shawn Hinkle with the team ahead of Thursday night’s game against Bexley. |
| Ceremonial Lighting | The Pit Is Lit
Seniors from every fall sport carry the torches, along with seniors from the band and cheer squad. |
| By 10:30 PM | The evening runs about an hour and is over by 10:30 PM. |
Please note: Wednesday evening is the lighting and pep rally only.
There is no food service, no beverages, no rides and no games. The Ox Roast itself opens Thursday at 5:00 PM.

| 5:00 – 10:00 PM | Pies, Cakes & Drinks Desserts, water and pop. Open until the Roast ends — when the treats run out we still sell drinks. |

Thursday is a dry day. No alcohol is served Thursday.
Bingo does not run Thursday — Bingo is Friday and Saturday only.

| From 11:00 AM | Bulk Roast Beef — by the pound Ox by the pound, $15, from the Kitchen as soon as it is ready — around 11:00 AM. Moves to Pies, Cakes & Drinks upon opening. Sandwiches are served from the Kitchen from noon. |
| 12:00 – 11:00 PM | Kitchen Full menu, plus the Ox Sandwich — Saturday only, roasted in the pit and carved on site. Bulk beef and Ox Sandwiches are sold while supplies last. |
| 2:00 – 11:00 PM | Beer, Wine & Canned Cocktails Valid ID required. Drinks stay inside the designated refreshment area. |
